I’m Sarah Hill, the calligrapher and creative mind behind The Spilled Ink Studio. My husband lovingly refers to me as “Spills McGee” because I have a knack for knocking something over just about every day. But don’t worry — when it comes to calligraphy and hand lettering, I’m all about precision! 

I’ve loved lettering and the art of handwriting since I was a child (think dotting your i’s with hearts in your 7th grade notebook). I was formally introduced to calligraphy by a local artist shop and have been obsessed ever since. Is it weird if my grocery lists are written in calligraphy?

Originally from Illinois, I moved to Athens Georgia for school and quickly adapted to the warmer weather and use of the word “y’all.” My husband and I have a cuddly dog and a Valentine’s baby boy. When I’m not calligraphing, I love reading, taking boat rides, traveling, and cheering on the Dawgs! Let’s be friends and make something beautiful together!
